HAPPY THANKSGIVING

A very very Happy Thanksgiving to one and all here in The States...and to all Americans in other parts of the world, as well as to all the bloggers everywhere who might enjoy sharing a Turkey, JUST cause they like Turkey!

My wishes for Thanksgiving: That all our troops, all over the world stay safe and out of harm's way and come home very very soon.

That sanity might once again reign in this beautiful, wonderous country of ours.

That all those who are suffering the terrible effects of hurricane Katrina, find homes, and jobs, and find their family's together on this Thanksgiving Day.

That good health be visited on all those who are suffering with illness.

That those of us with more, share are good luck with all those who have less, in whatever way we can.

And, finally: Eat well, love well, and drive v-e-r-y carefully!

Peace To Everyone Everywhere In The World.

Hi there, Michele sent me =)

I hope you had a happy Turkey Day.

I've just spent some time reading through your posts about the Cotswolds. I recognise many of the places in the photos and it's fascinating to read a visitors view of the area. I grew up in Oxfordshire and went to school in Oxford. I thought it quite a dull place myself although the architecture is quite stunning. It's interesting to read how excited a stranger can get about visiting a place I know too intimately. I'll be back for more installments :)

Good morning, OO, I hope you had a good holiday and a good night. As to your question: terducken is a chicken stuffed into a duck, which is stuffed into a turkey, and cooked that way. There is stuffing in between the birds and in the chicken. The chicken and the duck are de-boned. Supposedly this is a cajun creation. It was my first time having it, and the turkey was great, but I won't eat the duck, as it is too fatty.

Thanks for the kids comments; you look pretty good yourself! Have a good weekend. I have to go to work today and decorate a city club for Christmas.
