WEIRD THINGS

Chatty (Thank you soooo very much, dear Chatty),tagged me to do this about a week ago, and I know someone else tagged me a few weeks before that when I didn't have time...(Forgive me, I cannot remember who???) to do this 5 weird things, thingy...

The first player of this game starts with the topic “5 Weird Habits I Have.” People who get tagged then write an entry about their 5 weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, the writer will need to choose the next five people (victims) to be tagged and links to their blogs.

1.- I don't usually buy ONE of anything...I buy 3 or 4....Kleenex, Cat Food, (now here we are talking-Cases Of Things), Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, etc.... I hate the idea of 'running out' of anything...I'm sure a shrink would have a field day with that!

2.- And along those lines...I have a special sound proof room that has foam rubber on the walls and floor, where I can go scream and rant and rave and cry my eyes out if that's what I need to do...a life saver of a place! And it's right here in my house. And I've been do this for years and years and years!

3.- I have a lot of trouble with noxious fumes..It hurts my lungs and so I cannot be around smoke or cleaning products or peticides of any kind.
It is rather restricing to the cleaning of my house and the tending of my garden, but, it is truly dangerous to my lungs.

4.- I wear socks when I go to bed, winter and summer! Gotta keep my footsies warm...

5.- I never wear a brassiere if I can help it...and possibly I should, but it feels very restricting to me so wherever and whenever I can, I go 'braless'.

I know I'm supposed to tag 5 someones, but...I'm not going to. I just think if you think this would be fun, you should give it a try!

The sound proof room looks like a very good idea. Thanks for the tip.

Cheers from Michele!

I too 'buy in bulk'.. My friends laugh at my rather large supply of soap, shower gel, toothpaste & other items... and I once (not long ago) bought 100 disposable razors in one go. The girl @ the checkout thought it was quite odd...

If civilisation ever collapses.. at least I can wash my hands & clean my teeth for a year or so.

Oh, I also have 12-15 years worth of books I haven't read yet - but that's a WHOLE other story.

Nothing wrong with being prepared! lol! And some days I sure need one of those rooms. I think they should have one at every school, so the teachers can go in there and let it all out once or twice during the day. I know I would have used it every now and then when I was teaching! ;)

The sound proof room sounds like it should be standard for either putting kids in or for letting moms escape.

My big weird thing? I can't go on vacation without having my garage clean. And I mean all the shelves in order, cleaned, wiped down and the floor scrubbed and rinsed out. I'm not so much concerned with other parts of the house and the attic was always a mess, but I had to have that garage clean even if it meant staying up until 2AM to do it.

Here from Michele.

I must admit I wear socks to bed too, but only for the first 10min and only in the wintertime! I buy two of the things I like and fit me well: can't decide which color so I have many things double, just a different color, lol. Fun meme, love reading other people's memes!!!

ah, i have that same noxious fumes problem. Diesel exhaust drops me to the ground. As does tar, lysol, soap, cleaning products, hairspray, perfume, rubbing alcohol, cigarette smoke.

Oddly enough, infitessimally small amounts of these things seem like gigantic clouds.

you know who sent me. Hey maybe i'll walk up the hill and borrow your screaming room.

Buying bulk is a GOOD idea, cheaper to buy, less trips to the dreaded store!
And it feels good to take the bra off, doesn't it? However, I don't leave home without it, I feel naked.

That room, though, now that's a little weird. I guess it keeps you from being hauled to "The Facility" where they have rooms like that!

It's amazing but I do 4 out of your 5 things too! I don't have the s/p room, which I would love because I need to s/p my little home recording studio. But socks on, bra off, lots of t/p and fumes=asthma attack. We must be twins born to differrent mothers!

Thanks for stopping by & commenting on my "doo". Getting my hair cut is never fun for me, lol!

I'm here from my blog and Michele's ;)

I pretty much do all those things too except the sound proof room. That would be a good thing to have though at times, just for a quiet place! Usually I only do the sock thing during the winter.

I'll have to try this meme myself sometime!

Naomi, I also wear socks to bed year round (even though I have a heated mattress pad) and go braless at home (at least). I buy in bulk also (Sam's loves me). Smoke bothers me a lot! I just need that sound proof room (to put mr. kenju in!)......LOL

Michele sent me tonight.

I knew we were kindred spirits. I never wear a bra either (and believe me, Drew Barrymore has nothing on my droopy boobs), I always buy in bulk and I get nervous if I don't have at least 4 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom cupboard, and your soundproof room is a lot like our attic, where I go to have mega temper tantrums. It's very well insulated and you can't hear a thing from the rest of the house!

Socks, hate'em and NEVER wear them, even in New England.

With four kids I would love to buy in bulk, and I guess for a a couple with no kids it would seem like we do, but honestly we're not far enough ahead in our bills to do it much.

You've been by so often this weekend I feel like I have my first actual fan. 8)

Oh my, we have #1, 3, 4, and 5 in common. I can't do #1 anymore since my husband was laid off, but I think it's roots are from self-preservation like for hard times or bad weather and growing up in very tough times as a child. That "be prepared" is ingrained in me.

I'd LOVE #2! I'm glad you have this. What a sanity saver. It would be very healthy for me because I can't let others hear(with any degree of release) those emotions if I'm concerned they'll worry, like my kids. The closest I came to this was a soundproof booth when I was practicing audiology. (hearing science), but then we ate lunch in it and could talk confidentially, when there were no clients.

#3: I could do a post on this and will try to remember to credit you back.

#4: This happend to me shortly after my first child was born.Oh, good another post idea. Thx!

#5: I should have freed the "sisters" years before I did! In cold weather I can layer which means freedom, but not in warm weather or uh, bouncy, bouncy.
