TEENY TINY!

These flowers are smaller than the nail of your pinky finger if you are a small woman! And the plant itself is so fantastic in it's complex geometric design. I have two plants right next to each that are like cousins, both in the same family, but different species as you can see from the color of each...one has a yellow-gold tinge and the other has a redish-green tinge. But right now the yellow-gold one is flowering like mad. In this photograph above you can see the amazing intricate design of these plants, plus the slight difference in their color. These plants are small, as you can see in this next photograph. These two plants are right in the front bed next to the sidewalk. They are surrounded by some other small plants and then some very very big plants...Here is a slightly closer look at them... And then, below, another closer look at the little teeny tiny flowers on the yellow-gold plant, that as you can see from the picture above, is bursting with flowers right now as we speak. This is a very delicate looking plant, but strong, too....

Across the street is a beautiful succulant that is flowering right now. I was able to get a lovely picture of this and here it is! Perfection, thy name is "Spring"....

More to come....

I never imagined there would be so many changes in from cactus to cactus... they just seemed all the same to me. Used to tropical plants and their "obvious" changes and loud colors and contrasts, this is new to me, but wonderful no doubt!

And Spring has arrived here in England too. The tree buds are opening, and even my lilies and roses are showing signs of life....

Love the orange flower.
I took Mom and Dad to the garden nursery shop yesterday and went crazy with the cameras. Now I have more to post than time to do it. There were lilies, poppies and orchids with this same shade of orange.

I love the complexity of the tiny cactus. At first glance, seeing it close-up, I thought it was a huge cactus. It's quite beautiful.

My second time around from Michele's, Naomi. Howdy!

I'm so used to seeing posts from you about huge cacti that seeing little ones like these is quite the change of pace. They are very pretty tho--and the blooms are lovely. Thanks for posting them--and the picture of the flowers across the street. They're pretty too!

Those leeetle teeeeeny flowers are so cute. I hope you're saving all these photos of your onto a CD-Rom so they're available for posterity. I love watching your garden grow.

Can you steal a cutting of the plant with the big orange blooms from across the street. That one is rather spectacular.

Here via blah blah blah.

Beautiful!

My pear trees are past flowering, and the woodchuck and squirrels are just sitting under them waiting for the pears to come in. They are saying, "Let the summer begin!" Spring is moving up into New England this weekend.
