craziequeens party

You are cordially invited to
A 'Hearts and Flowers' Party
from 8pm UK time
Friday 13 February 2009
until 12 midnight UK time
Sunday 15 February 2009

Yippee! A blogparty in the style of blogparties of time gone past!
I have made sure there is plenty of time for you to choose a nice party frock or tux, post pictures on your blogs, invite all your blogpals and pick out your favourite cocktail...and, being the Palace, there will be a surprise or three for the guests!
Make a note in your diaries.

The Wonderful Craziequeen over in the U.K., is having a "virtual" party...And she does give the best best bestest party's ever....The details are above and DO put it in your diary....trust me, you won't be sorry.....!

I am looking for a really fabulous frock, even though, the truth is I probably will be in my P.J.'s, or something similar.....The fun is in "pretending".....and you all remember "Let's Pretend", don't you?

Here below are some of the snazzy frocks I have come across in my research....Hey, I know what! You all vote for the one you think I should wear to dear Craziequeens fabulous 'Hearts & Flowers' Party....Okay? #1- This outfit above is a little different, isn't it? Not like anything else I've ever seen.....I kind of like the Hat/Cape dealy thingy.....don't you? #2- I love all the colors in the dress above. Of course I don't have a figure like any of these models, but I'm not going to worry about that, cause it's all virtual, anyway, so therefor I can have any "virtual" figure I want, right? #3- This one above is a bit bizarro but I think it has a lot to recommend it---like, That Hat! And check out those shoes, too....! It does have a wonderful party 'feel', doesn't it? #4- And then there is this 'animal' print dress above......Very "Party" don't you think? I tried to choose a variety of Exotica.....And this fits pretty good in that category......And then, below, one more dress...... #5- In keeping with the Valentines Day Holiday....."red" being one of the operative colors, there is this little number, above. There were some more frocks and gowns, and as a 'bonus', I will include just one more for your consideration...... #6- How about that Hair? I'm not sure I can manage that---Of course, a wig would be the answer here......So, now, please vote for the Dress you think I should wear to the "party".....and remember, this is going to be a fun party so I hope that you, too, will find a special dress or fancy tux for this fabulous event!

More To Come.......

Good morning my dear :-)

Seeing as we are such animal lovers, I think it should be the animal print - what a stunning gown.

You'll look virtually gorgeous in it and, of course, there's no worry about the dry cleaning bill!

I like no.2 - very chic:)

I will be wearing a long slinky number myself - the type of thing I've always wanted to have the figure for LOL.

Netchick sent me back to have another look, and I'm still convinced the animal theme is just the thing :-)
Mrs A will do justice to a slinky number and I know Melli is off virtual dress shopping.
Of course, I have my dress all ready and pressed in My Dcuments :-)

Sitting here indulging in a Shrek triple bill this afternoon.

I think you should wear the second one and if you don't mind - might I borrow that little red and black number? I think we'll both look stunning!!!

I think #2 is so like the beautiful flowers you show us, and do wear the hat and gloves and shoes of course. #3 looks like you dumped a bowl of chips on your head a little "life of the party" lol, have fun.

I can always count on you and CQ to raise my spirits, Naomi. The colors and textures are certainly gorgeous, but what really gets me is the context within which you present them. No one weaves it all together like you.

Popped by from Tanya's to say hi and apologize for being so silent for so long. Life's been challenging on a number of fronts, so my energy's been pulled away from the blogosphere more than I'd like. Hoping to rebalance things a bit more soon...and until then, know you're often in mind.

I'm told that bright colours are supposed to cheer us up in these wintry recessionary days.

I'd suggest the second one would thus fit the bill rather well!

dreamy #6 got my vote...but I gotta say any of those would be just perfect!!!

You should wear #3. If you drink too much and need to vomit, the hat can do double duty!

I like the second one.
What a fun party!! Your feet will be so tired when it's over, and I think you better go easy on the booze or you'll really have a hangover.
Maybe you can bring Sweetie along and dress him up too, as well.
:-)
Pretending is so fun!

I want to wear the sexy Valentine number....and it will fit perfectly virtually. Love the idea of a party.

WE had a family/friends potluck tonight at a friends house, with a fifties theme...it was hilarious! Beatniks and 50's Moms and Greasers all attended. I dressed up as Rizzo from Grease. And the food??? WELL....let me say that green jello was part of the menu....
After dinner, we watched an old Perry Mason episode. It was grrrreat. So, a virtual party...would love to attend.

Hee hee, those are crazy fun dresses. My first thought was to Photoshop your face onto all those models to help you decide and then I remembered you were not into that. Have fun choosing as I can't decide. Okay maybe leaning toward #1.

What amazing creations from fabric! I really like the second one. The way the shades of blue, green and yellow mingle and compliment each other reminds me of many of the flowers and plants in your garden and those fabulous arrangements you share with us here.

I've never understood "runway" fashion. I've never seen anything like it on the streets or in the stores. I've never known anyone who wears it. I think of it more as artwork I'll never be able to afford and will never have the body to hang it on. Oh, and darn, I missed the party. Wish I'd checked in sooner. *sigh*

I'm not sure I could pull any of these off. I dress more like Ellen than Oprah and I know you dress like Whoopie. Maybe we should start a bathrobe fashion runway show!

Definitely Number 2 dress. Indubitably! Without a doubt. I adore the colours, and the flared skirt of many layers is scrumptious. And doesn't it look good with those bright sunshine yellow gloves??? OOOOh yes ma'am, you will be the belle of the ball in that creation!

I haven't actually been invited to the party, but perhaps I should gatecrash... now I'll have to look for an outfit of my own. Perhaps I'll borrow one of yours?

These are all kind of far out, but I'll go with #6. It looks the most comfortable, except for the skimpy one, and you do want to be comfortable at a party! The outfits people come up with!! I think some of those hats would give you a major headache....and how would you ever get in the car? LOL I can see you in a car with your head sticking up through the sun roof hole!! Oh, it's CA, so maybe you could go in a convertible. There! Problem solved!

I was going to pick number 2 as well...for the same reason...the colors are great!

Last night I was at an artist's reception for an art opening at Cafe del Sol. Mara's daughter Kyla was there playing "paperdolls" on the computer. Dressing dolls just like I did growing up, only they were virtual! Once, only a few years ago I had my great niece over with her Barbie Doll collection so we could play Dress the Barbie together!

I'd recommend the animal print, but being that I'm in a wild mood, I may wear that one myself (and you don't want to be at a party where two women are wearing the same virtual dress!). No, no.

I choose #2 for you because the colors are beautiful and you could practice the pose and look spectacular!

We hope to join this virtual party, of course - but I also realise we live in different time zones. But hehe. Some wake up, others go to bed. At the same Solar time.

How to be dressed?
Well, may be my Tox? I have not yet descided. Or should I be solidaric to the Finacial Crises? LOL.
I think the woman in #2 will be my fav. That costume reminds me about the Ocean and the Green land. Freshness.

PS. My last post was about Bridges.

And the week to come will be very busy. Hurray, I say.

it's you, it's you! in this era of obamic elegance, grace, and rejection of artiface, #6!---but lose the hairdo, and do a Naomi original in its place.

I LOVE that color blue, kind of a light aquamarine that is in several of those gowns. Maybe it is robin egg blue. It was a favorite color of mine in the 80's and I hope it is coming back in style!

I would love to attend but I must send my regrets as my romantic husband is whisking me aways on a last minute weekend get away to the Bahamas. We want to bask in the sun for a couple of days!
