the purple blues

Above, the "abstract" first....the petals are gorgeous----they sing...... They move, as if there was a slight breeze.....the color goes from deep purple to light lavender, depending on the light......We back away a little bit to see more of 'the flower'....so soft, so sensuous, so sexy..... We go to a different view....Ohhhhh, this is even prettier with that beautiful complex pink person next to it.....The contrast is stunning...... We back up a bit more so that we see some of that pink and a bit of yellow, too....What a gorgeous flower this purple blues is....the flow of the petals---again, as if a slight breeze is moving them....... Backing up even more.....we see more of the great beauty surrounding that exquisite purple person......the pink, the yellow, the lavender the shocking pink...... Here's some fabulous contrast for you....the Yellow Rose, and the Lavender Hydrangea.....And now these bring out the 'blue' of our purple person....... A different shot of this same flower....I just cannot get over how beautiful the petals are.....the curves are startling, in a way......Let's get closer here....... And another view below....... And another....... And one more....... And here below....one more view of this lovely flower........ With a little hint of that touch of yellow deep inside........And below.....the last picture I will share with you of this special sweet flower which was a part of the two arrangements for my birthday.......

More To Come..........

Naomi, the flower is absolutely beautiful. The delicacy of the blossom and the intensity of the color are wonderful. We have the same flower but in shades of pink. Thanks!

When I opened the page and saw the title Purple Blues I thought you were going to go into music and I thought how interesting. I'd never heard of Purple Blues, ah too much music on the brain I guess from the weekend! But I loved the flower photos, very beautiful.

I have a passion for purple! Believe it or not I took pictures of flowers at Floyfest, which I may post later. I'll be processing pictures for weeks. Not through yet. I did see Deana, by the way, briefly at the festival. We both love Donna the Buffalo, so I wasn't surprised that I saw her at the start of their set. But the rain started coming hard and we just shared a big hug. That was it!

You have the "eye" for composition that can't be learned.

Deep purple/lavendar is my favorite color, so these flowers were a delight to look at! They come alive in these photos and I hope at least one of them make it in your 2010 calendar!

Thanks for sharing, my friend...and I hope you are doing well. I'm hoping these flowers brighten your spirit like they do mine.

Gorgeous!!!!

Thanks for stopping by the blog. I've been really lax about blogging, but intend to resume. BlogHer is coming to NYC next year and I want to go... and being an active blogger makes me more "qualified" to be there! (in my own mind, of course)

Hope you are doing well. I promise to start making the rounds again! (funny how Michele's Meet & Greet really kept the blogosphere moving, don't you think?)

Well colour me purple:)
That must be the most amazing of your flowers so far. But you keep on amazing me. Is it a rose? The only blue rose I have ever known was 'Blue Moon' - but a shadow of that gorgeous flower.
