Time for the Gift Bags.....And here below...a short little Video, introducing this section of our "Ladies Who Lunch"......It's not particularly funny---those Videos will be coming along here later....But, it "sets the scene", as we say in The Theatre....Here below, some pictures of the goodies that were in our bags.......
We started with these adorable Flowered Piggy's....everyone really loved them.....There is Lee and then Dianne and then Kim.....Next, we see Kim and Seemah.......
And they have very sweet faces, don't they?.....
And of course there were lots of other goodies included in the Gift Bag---like those Sun Glasses that Seemah put on....In fact, everyone put them on at my insistence......
Bridget and Lisa have the Glasses on, as you can see......In fact, we all get pretty silly when it comes to these Gift Bags....Look at Lee, below....
LOL....Trying to show as many of the gift bag goodies as possible, in one photograph......And Dianne got silly, too......And I love, 'silly'....it shows that we all are still young at heart, don't you think....?
Here is Kim below with her Sun Glasses on, too...She just got this crazy look on here face which we all found rather hilarious.....
And Annie got in the spirit of it all, too......
Oh yes.....see that little Green figure---He and/or his brothers, were featured in the Video from the last post. Here below is a close-up of him......
He is soooo adorable! And see that Turtle over on the left side of the picture? Here below is a little bit of a closer look at him---unfortunately you can't see his face......
He is one of those Bubble Goodies....you unscrew his head and take it out of the bottle which is his body, of course, and then you blow Bubbles---if you can....I took two different videos of that.....And here they are below.......
And here is the second one featuring the Bubbles.....I always get these Bubble Thingy's----(though what the Bubble stuff comes in is always a different receptacle....)...because I love them so much, and, as it turns out, so does everyone else.....They are fun and they are festive, and they really make you feel good, too......
Seemah began playing with the Kaleidoscope.....I always think these are such fun, too--Fun and Beautiful.....Betty collected Kaleidoscopes, so whenever I see one, I think of her........In truth, I don't know anyone who doesn't like Kaleidoscopes, do you?
And then, Bridget decided it would be fun to let her lovely Flowered Piggy look through her Kaleidoscope.....Fun!
Bridget is such a cut up.....She is so much fun and she will do anything for a laugh...And I love that! She is not afraid to look silly! In fact, all of these terrific women are not afraid to look silly, as you are no doubt well aware by this time.......

Everything is working Naomi- sound and vision. I was longing to see what was in the goodie bags. I could blow bubbles all day and these were like drops of floating rainbow.
I'm intrigued by the bright blue little packet thingies which almost look like pill containers. Perish the thought:)
It was lovely to hear just a bar or two of your singing voice. It sounded great and I wanted to hear more.

Silliness abounds! I love it!
You know, sometimes I am just plain slow. I was reading a post from one of your fans referring to Annie and how much he loved her on The Dick Van Dyke Show, and I was like, what is he talking about?
DUH!!!MILLIE!!! But you know, I didn't recognize her on The Nanny either. My mom had to point it out to me.
So I just got off the phone with Stacy Van Dyke and I am telling her that I am looking at Annie's face right this second and she told me to go out and rent "Please Give", a relatively new film either directed by or starring Catherine Keener. Stacy says that she was THRILLED when Annie shows up in it as a grumpy old woman. She said that Annie is hilarious!!!I will do that this weekend :)
This is so much fun for me!!!This whole discovery process! I love hearing your voice.
Have a fantastic day. We are off to hike Sedona, which will be 20 degress cooler than Phoenix.

It's good to be silly, isn't it? I like to get silly too. The problem arises when you are with people that don't understand that...they don't get silly...I mean, they just don't get it. I always feel like they're missing so much.

You kids are TOO much! Hey, tell Bridget that at my joint's Happy Hour, they were trying to find a song they all knew and decided on theme song from Here Come the Brides! I'm from Indiana and I couldn't believe all those 80-90 year olds knew all the words AND picked it right up without sheet music on an organ! (I forgot I am in Seattle...) AND all the men picked "Candy" as their favorite---wondering if she is still alive. Hahaha, I said, "I bet she is." Hahaha The power of TV.

Naomi, you DO sing on this. I just listened to a few bars of "Tiny Bubbles". Maybe, one day, if we all ask nicely...you will sing for us.
I keep finding the score for "The Spoon River Anthology", but they are all LPs. I may just buy one anyway...one of my friends is bound to have an LP player.

I shouted, "Holy Crap", to an empty house because I stumbled upon one of your recordings on youtube!
"IF"....your readers need to find it on youtube. It's terrific! You totally sell the hell out of that song! I downloaded it so I can listen to it whenever I want.
I KNEW that it was the song that you refer to in you "List of 100 things...", but am stunned that it wasn't a bigger hit. Soo catchy! I have been singing it for hours.

Hi Naomi,
It is so good to let go every once in a while and do something silly, it helps to keep you young and more importantly, young at heart.
I still love those bubble blowers even now, although my husband has just as much fun squeezing bubbles out of a bottle of washing up liquid, just so long as he doesn't actually have to wash the dishes of course!!!
Kaleidoscopes are an endless source of entertainment, no matter what your age, in fact my 80 year old mother-in-law, has one on her side table all the time ...no one likes to ask, why?? LOL
