look close

As most of you know, I love looking at flowers close-up.....There is something so beautiful about natures creations----especially, when you look really close up........
Something magical and other-worldly, too,
sometimes.
I love color---I mean, I LOVE IT!!!
And in the world of flowers.......
Well.......it's just color, color, color, and more color.
all the time!
And lots of curves, too.......
And shapes that surprise.......
And beauty that stuns.........
I really really need this now.

More To Come.......

Each of these pictures looks like a painting. I wish I could paint, I think I would paint flowers like these. I hope you're finding your way through the grief. My thoughts are with you.

Your close ups are just splendid. They would make marvelous wall hangings. Your eye and camera catch things I just don't see till you capture them. Pure art work.

They totally remind me of Georgia O'Keefe paintings. It's funny, I've said, "I love color" to explain why I take pictures of flowers, too. :)

I don't know if I've said this before but I used to hate flowers, not sure why, something to do with my childhood and death and maybe connecting them with femininity etc. but you've changed me and now I can appreciate them more. Although I still tend to prefer plants.

The colours are beautiful.

Imagine the life of a bee, diving into this stunning world of color, actually rolling around in it and then FLYING (another amazing concept) on to the next bloom. The world is so full of things that stagger the eye and the mind, if we can continue to be aware we can become lost in the awe ...but we must LOOK, as you title this post. Thanks again for reminding me. Thinking of you often, Naomi.

Stunning. A perfect way to start the day is with your bees eye view of the world.

What a fest of colour and shape Naomi. I'm trying to decide which is my favourite and I can't.
Each one is so special and so 'Naomi'.
Thank you for a lovely moment and the reminder that the world is full of beautiful things.

SO beautiful! I do love your flowers :)

Sadly, Autumn has definitely arrived here in Mid Wales so beautiful flowers are few and far between at the moment.

Lovely pictures and colours. You've also selected the framing of them in a very artistic way. Most enjoyable.

Amazing colours and shapes, you have really caught the essence of each flower in your camera lens! With the onset of winter weather, I really appreciate the bright hues of indoor blooms.

Naomi, it is really evident in your photos of flowers that you have the eye of an artist. I am reminded of the painter whose name I can never remember - but she captured the inner planes of flowers and made us look at them in a new way. You do that, but with your camera.

I knew someone would mention her - Georgia O'Keefe is the painter I was trying to name.
